Mercer Island Residence
Inspired by New England coastal architecture, this Mercer Island home offers panoramic views of Lake Washington and maximizes natural lighting by way of numerous windows and skylights. On the exterior, ledgestone from British Columbia and cedar shingles combine to celebrate this classic beach home style while creating a sense of rustic sophistication. The double-height great room continues this theme by contrasting dark exposed timber trusses with refined painted molding details. In response to its shoreline setting, a rain garden was incorporated into the design, capturing storm water runoff from the driveway.
